Where is Taste of Arlington®?

Wilson Boulevard from N. Randolph Street to N. Monroe Street. Parking is available all day at the Ballston Public Parking Garage adjacent to the Ballston Common Mall, and the event is located closest to the Virginia Square Metro station and a few blocks further from the Ballston-MU Metro station (Orange line).

How do I get there and where do I park?

Take the orange line to the Virginia Square or Ballston-MU Station and walk a couple blocks. If you drive you may park on area streets, inside Ballston Common Mall garage, or at a near by garage. For more real time car free options visit our partner, Car-Free Diet's webpage.

Do I need entry tickets for the Taste of Arlington®?

Yes.  There is an admission fee this year. Tickets are needed to sample beer and wine, play games in the KidZone and to enter the fenced in dog park/bar.  Tickets are not needed for food this year; you will pay the vendor directly for tastes ranging from $1-$5 using cash or a credit card.

How can I purchase tickets for the Taste of Arlington®?

         General admission and additional ticket prices are as follows.  

         Before May 1:

         After May 1:

  • Drink Ticket $5
  • Dog Park Ticket $10
  • KidZone Game Tickets $5 book of five 

       To receive a $5 discount on the entry fee download BallstonConnect, the Ballston BID mobile app, on event day.

       *KidZone tickets can only be used in the KidZone area for kids games & activites.

Can I purchase the tickets online?

The Taste of Arlington® admission wristbands and tickets are sold online and on the BallstonConnect Mobile App. Once you purchase your items, you will need to bring the confirmation email with you on the day of the event and go to one of two will call locations (located at the intersection of N. Randolph Street and Wilson Blvd and near N. Monroe Street and Wilson Blvd) to pick up your wristband and tickets.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, the event is pet-friendly and there is a dedicated area for dog lovers in the BarkPark. Please remember to keep your pet leashed and to make sure vaccinations are up to date.

What if it rains?

The event will take place rain or shine.

How late is alcohol served?

Beer and wine sales will commence at Noon and will end at 5:45PM. However, Taste of Arlington® personnel, Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control, and Arlington County Police Department reserve the right to discontinue service at any time to any person or persons.

Will there be entertainment at the event?

Yes there is a main stage at the event near the Beer and Wine Garden located near N. Quincy Street.

Who benefits from the Taste of Arlington®?

A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC), a community-based non-profit that provides supplemental groceries to Arlingtonians in need.

Can I bring outside food or beverage into the event?

No. The Health Code stipulated by Arlington County Environmental Health Bureau forbids outside food and beverages at the location of the event.  Bringing your own alcohol is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the event.

Do you have a First-Aid area?

Yes,  Visit the First-Aid tent to receive help with minor injuries.  Please call 911 if it is a medical emergency.

Is Taste of Arlington® a "green" event?

Yes. In keeping with Arlington County’s initiative to be a sustainable community, Taste of Arlington® will offer recycling bins and has a recycling program in place.
