Junkfood • Visit online
Do you remember when rock and roll was fun? JunkFood certainly does, serving up big, unapologetic rock tunes with loud guitars and sing-along hooks so huge you could hang a side of beef on them. JunkFood regularly performs for a broad range of venues up and down the East coast. From family friendly festival crowds, to summer beach vacationers, to rowdy college bars - JunkFood has entertained them all.
Down Wilson • Visit online
The name "Down Wilson" is a tribute to the band's home, Arlington, Virginia, as founder and singer/guitarist Kevin Sambat found himself driving up and down Wilson Boulevard for his weekly acoustic duo and trio shows. Along the way, he's had the great pleasure of playing with many talented people, fortunately gathering the steady rhythm and bass section of drummer Brian Highsmith and bassist Karlin McNeill for the long haul. With the addition of talented vocalist/keys player Michelle Jentzer Melsop (formerly of Divide By Zero) and ridiculous guitarist Dat Nguyen, Down Wilson is ready to rock Taste of Arlington with fun music and a great stage show!
Silent Critics • Visit online
On any given weekend you can find The Silent Critics where they love to be, on stage and playing at a bar or music venue in the Northern Virgina/DC area. In their many years together they have transitioned from their music classes at Mary Washington College to shooting their first music video. "Dissonance", directed by Vanessa Jorquera, was shot in Harlem and New York City earlier this year and is one of the many things they can add to their already impressive resume. Aside from songwriting awards and winning silver in the rock/alternative category of the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest for the song Dissonance. The Silent Critics have shared the stage with Pat McGee, Trace Bundy, Quick Step John, Bravo Romeo Bravo, Just Like Always, Citizen*, JuniperLane, Honor By August, McClaw's Drive, Fools and Horses, The Blackjacks and many other talented artists.
